Capturing the essence of Chapelton and its breathtaking surroundings, this calendar showcases a collection of stunning photographs taken by our talented residents. Throughout 2023, we hosted a monthly photo competition judged by expert photographer, Rory Raitt. We asked members of the community to help us create our first ever Chapelton calendar – and we think the results are spectacular!

January

January’s winning entry belongs to Deby Grant, capturing the month’s essence with her photograph titled ‘Aero’. Congratulations to Deby for kicking off the year with her snowy addition to the Chapelton 2024 calendar!

February

February shines bright as Chris Doo’s winning photo titled ‘Pink Skies’ captures Chapelton bathed in the soft hues of a beautiful pink sky.

March

March blooms with Joan McLellen’s winning photograph ‘Snowdrops’, focusing on the first of spring’s delicate white flowers.

April

April’s winning entry, ‘Storm Brewing,’ by Chris Doo, transports us to the drama of a stormy day spanning across the surrounding fields of Chapelton.

May

May blossoms with the golden touch of Chris Doo once again, as he secures the winning spot with ‘Fields of Gold, showcasing the brilliant yellow flowers of May!

June

June’s deserving winner is Hannah McFarland with ‘Golden’, capturing the first glimpse of summer as the sun bathes the fields in gold!

July

July brings coastal charm through Erin Wood’s winning entry, ‘Sea Views’ as the winding road offers serenity overlooking the sea.

August

Heaven Benipal wins the August entry with ‘Pastures’, capturing the idyllic charm of a lone horse gracefully navigating the dazzling sun-kissed field.

September

The September spotlight goes to Leanne Robertson with the heartwarming image titled ‘Chapelton Trail with Loki and Wade’ – a joyous companionship of her two dogs!

October

October’s winning entry, ‘Hay Bales’ by Helen Gauld, captures the rustic charm of Chapelton with an image of sunlit hay bales in a field.

November

November illuminates with the winning entry, ‘Sunrise over Murray Street,’ by Chris Doo. The photograph showcases a vibrant, orange sunrise and the atmospheric beauty of Chapelton’s Murray Street.

December

Our final winning entry goes to Debbie McHardy for her December entry ‘Chapelton Trail’. This captivating photograph captures the essence of the Chapelton Trail, bringing a splendid close to the year and securing a well-deserved place in the 2024 calendar.
