The Chapelton Farmers’ Market returns this Sunday
Looking for something to do this weekend? Look no further! The Chapelton Farmers’ Market is back this Sunday 19th July, bringing together some of the very best local food, drinks, crafts and artisan producers from across Aberdeenshire.
Join us at The Hut from 11am until 2:30pm for a relaxed afternoon of shopping, delicious food and catching up with friends and neighbours. Whether you’re looking to stock up on fresh local produce, enjoy some lunch from one of our fantastic food vendors or browse handmade gifts, there will be something for everyone to discover.
Fresh local produce
If you’re looking to fill your shopping bags with quality local ingredients, you’ll find plenty to tempt you. Bannerman Butcher returns with its excellent selection of meats, while Granite City Fish will be bringing fresh seafood straight from Scotland’s coast. Muchalls Kailyard will have a wonderful selection of seasonal vegetables and Annie’s German Bakery will be serving up freshly baked breads and traditional favourites.
Delicious food to enjoy on the day
We would recommend arriving hungry, as there will be no shortage of delicious options to enjoy while you explore the market. Haydn’s Woodfired Pizza will be back firing up its famous pizzas, Aberdam will be dishing up its much-loved loaded fries and The Wee Cook returns with a selection of popular homemade dishes. If you’re in the mood for something warming, be sure to visit The Curry Wifey for authentic homemade curries, while Cafe Sal will be keeping visitors fuelled with great coffee throughout the afternoon. Don’t forget to save room for a classic ice cream from Regency Whippy while you’re there.
Sweet treats and artisan flavours
No farmers’ market would be complete without an irresistible selection of cakes and sweet treats. Gumblossom Bakes, Cookie Cult, Dunnottar Cheesecakes and Our Little Corner Cakes will all be offering handmade bakes, while The Green Cocoa Team will have artisan chocolates that make the perfect gift – or a well-earned treat for yourself.
You’ll also find delicious preserves from Jams and Chutneys by Leanne and handmade small batch oatcakes and shortbread bites from Snochery Jocks. Gladstone Bakery will also be joining us with a tempting selection of butteries, tablet, tarts and puddings.
Handmade gifts, plants and more
Beyond the food, there will be plenty of independent businesses showcasing their creations. You’ll be able to browse beautiful plants from Culter Perennials, handmade candles from Cairnwell Candle Co and locally designed products from Doric Studio. You’ll also be able to browse books from The Next Chapter who will be exhibiting at the market for the first time. Stinky Beasties will also be back with its popular range of natural pet treats and grooming products, so don’t forget to bring your four-legged friends along!
Spend your Sunday in Chapelton
The Farmers’ Market is always a wonderful opportunity to support local businesses while enjoying everything Chapelton has to offer.
Once you’ve finished exploring the market, why not make a day of it? Brae will be open as usual serving hot food, while Devenick Drinks’ Gatehouse Taproom will be ready to welcome visitors for a refreshing drink. You will also be able to browse unique jewellery and gifts at RedRocks or pop into Slate and Grain at Brio.
Whether you’re visiting for the first time or you’re a regular market-goer, we look forward to welcoming you for another fantastic community event.
See you there!
