Chapelton Farmers’ Market

Chapelton’s first Farmers’ Market of the year will be held on Sunday 15th May, offering a chance to purchase some of the finest produce from across the North East of Scotland.

Hosted outdoors in Burgess Park, the market boasts over 30 stalls with a range of produce and items from local suppliers, as well as hot food to take away.

Open 11am-2:30pm. Use postcode AB39 8AE. On entering Chapelton, signage and marshals will direct you to free parking if required. Entry is also free. More information on Facebook.

Chapelton Easter Egg Hunt 2022

Come to The Hut in Chapelton for some Easter fun on Sunday 10th April.

Find the hidden eggs by solving the clues, then unscramble the secret word to collect your prize! Collect a clue sheet from The Hut, Liddell Park in Chapelton at any time between 1pm and 4pm. Then begin your search around the town, writing down the letters as you find each egg.

The letters will make up a secret word! Return to The Hut at the end to collect your prize, sponsored by Places for People.There will be egg decorating and face painting at The Hut for the kids as well, from 2pm.Registration is free via Eventbrite. £3 per child (payable on the day).


Bike Maintenance Workshop

This new rider bike maintenance workshop is aimed at anyone new to cycling and seeking a solid foundation of understanding how a bicycle works.

Cy-tech qualified Master Technician Mike, from local business Trinity Frameworks, will deliver this course which is useful to new cyclists who want to know when their bike needs a service and will also show some basics of bike maintenance.

  • Duration: 3 hours.
  • Location: The Hut, Liddell Place, Chapelton AB39 8AE.

  • Time: 2pm – 5pm

Things to bring:

  • Please bring your own bike
  • Any cycle tools you may have
  • Use of appropriate workshop tools and bike stands will be provided

Chapelton Movie Night – The Lion King

Chapelton’s first community movie night will be showing The Lion King (2019) on Sunday 13th February. Entry to Slate & Grain from 5pm for 5:30pm start.

Drinks, popcorn and Fits The Scoop ice cream will be available to buy and there will be a 15 minute interval. Tickets are £7.50 per person and can be booked online here.

One ticket per person required. Children must be accompanied and supervised at all times by an adult.

About the movie: Lions rule the African savanna in The Lion King, which welcomes Donald Glover (Atlanta, Solo: A Star Wars Story) as future king Simba and Beyonce Knowles-Carter (Dreamgirls, Lemonade visual album) as Simba’s friend-turned-love interest Nala. Runtime: 118 mins.

Santa and Shopping at the Boxes

Come along to The Boxes at Chapelton next Thursday 9th December from 4pm-8pm for a fantastic showcase of offerings including Christmas shopping inspiration, gifts, hot food and a festive workshop too.

Wander & Graze will be firing up the pizza oven and Fits The Scoop will be serving real hot chocolate, hot waffles and ice cream. Kids can post their letters to Santa and there might even be a visit from the big man himself – 6pm 😉

Chapelton Santa Dash

Adorn a Santa suit to take part in the town’s first Santa Dash on Sunday 5th December.

Running, walking, dashing, skipping, which ever you prefer to make your way around our 3 mile course. This is not a race – a Santa dress and good spirits is all you need to bring! There will also be an Elf dash around the local park for littler legs.
Registration covers entry fee for dashers, a prize, hot drink, mincemeat pies/cookies and raffle.
